Arterial Doppler
An Arterial Doppler test checks the circulation in either your arms or legs. This test relies on the use of blood pressure cuffs (similar to the one used to take your arm blood pressure). It measures and records blood flow patterns and pressures to either the upper or lower extremities.

A carotid Doppler is an imaging test that uses ultrasound to examine the carotid arteries located in the neck. This test can show narrowing or possible blockages due to plaque buildup in the arteries due to coronary artery disease.
Venous Doppler
A venous Doppler ultrasound is a diagnostic test used to check the circulation in the large veins in the legs (or sometimes the arms). This exam shows any blockage in the veins by a blood clot or “thrombus” formation.

12 Lead EKG
A standard surface EKG is recorded using electrodes, or sticky patches, placed on the body surface, typically over the chest and the extremities. These electrode wires are connected to the EKG machine with recordings from 12 different locations on the surface of the body, the so-called12-lead EKG.

An echocardiogram (echo) is a graphic outline of the heart's movement. During an echo test, ultrasound (high-frequency sound waves) from a hand-held wand placed on your chest provides pictures of the heart's valves and chambers and helps the sonographer evaluate the pumping action of the heart.
